Ingredients

  • 6 medium apples - peeled, cored, and diced small
  • ¼ cup dark brown sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup cold salted butter, cut into small pieces
  • 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce, or to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine apples, brown sugar, water, butter, flour, sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl; mix to combine.
  3. Unroll crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles. Scoop 1 tablespoon apple mixture into the center of each triangle and fold into a package, making sure the ends are sealed. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 15 to 18 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
  5. Serve with a drizzle of caramel sauce on each turnover.
You can make this with peaches or bananas too.
