Cobbler Recipe ⤑ Apple Cobbler Crisp

Not really sure what to call this. It's a cross between an apple crisp and an apple cobbler. I cut out a lot of ingredients in an attempt to make it healthier.

Ingredients

  • cooking spray
  • 3 McIntosh apples, cored and sliced
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar, divided
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Arrange apples in the bottom of the prepared baking dish; sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
  3. Combine flour, oats, white sugar, and 1/4 cup brown sugar in a bowl; mix in 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Stir in water and egg until smooth. Spread batter evenly over apple mixture.
  4. Mix remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar and remaining 1 teaspoon cinnamon together in a bowl; sprinkle over batter. Dot with butter.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven until golden, 45 to 50 minutes.
Wheat flour can be substituted for the all-purpose flour if desired.
